Apple TV Launches in Brazil

Apple has launched their Apple TV set-top box in Brazil, reports The Next Web. The Apple TV is currently on sale for R$399 ($217) which is more than double the price of its cost in the US at $99.

Apple recently announced iTunes Match in Brazil, and also released the iTunes Store in Latin America. Brazilians are now able to rent and buy films from all the major studios including Paramount and 20th Century Fox.

The price of the Apple TV in India is another illustration of how much the prices of Apple products vary. The iPhone 4/4S in India costs a few hundred dollars more than it does in the US, and this must raise questions as to whether it is worth buying the products at all.
