Batman: Arkham City Lockdown Hits the App Store

Warner Brothers has released Batman Arkham City Lockdown ($5.99, App Store link) today for the iPhone and iPod touch, sporting action-packed gameplay and incredibly realistic graphics powered by the same Unreal 3 Engine behind Infinity Blade II.

The inmates have escaped and Batman has his hands full defeating an army of henchmen and some of his most iconic villains. Scour the rooftops and the seedy underbelly of Gotham City through a series of one-on-one battles with the Joker, Two-Face and more, as well as the Batman: Arkham City Lockdown exclusive – Deathstroke. Choose from several Batman skins and power-ups as you punch, kick and combo your way to cleaning up Gotham City.

The game is based upon the popular console and PC game Batman Arkham City, and plays as a one-on-one fighter featuring one boss fight after another. The game is developed by NetherRealm Studios, so it’s likely to feature gameplay similar to the Mortal Kombat games, with incredible graphics similar to Infinity Blade II.

Batman: Arkham City Lockdown is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, 4, and 4S, iPad 1 and 2, and the iPod touch 4th gen, and is available now for $5.99 through the App Store ($5.99, App Store link).
