French Reseller eBizcuss Sues Apple Over Unfair Competition

The main Apple reseller in France, eBizcuss, has sued Apple over unfair competition, Le Figaro reports. Francois Prudent, the CEO of eBizcuss, claims that Apple is quoting prices for large enterprises that are equivalent to the prices that eBizcuss is paying for the products from Apple, significantly reducing their market.

Furthermore, eBizcuss’ profit has gone down by 30% over the last quarter, as, according to Prudent, they have not received the Macbook Air, iPad 2 or iPhone 4S from Apple.

The lawyer of eBizcuss, Marc Santoni, stated that Apple is “taking advantage of their dominant position” and that it was “unloyal competition”. French site MacGeneration also points out that this situation is hardly surprising, as the same thing happened in the US when Apple increased the number of Apple Retail Store openings.
