Apple Brings Lion Internet Restore to Mid-2010 MacBooks and Mac Minis Through EFI Update

Following Tuesday’s firmware upgrade bringing Lion Internet Recovery to 2010 13-inch MacBook Pro models, Apple has now released two more updates to bring the feature mid-2010 MacBooks and Mac Minis.

Lion Internet Recovery is primarily useful when installing a brand new blank hard drive in a machine, or in cases of catastrophic hardware failure, and can re-install OS X Lion on your Mac over the internet without the need for restore media such as a DVD or thumb drive.

Strangely, there has yet to be a firmware upgrade for the 15-inch or 17-inch mid-2010 MacBook Pro, although the 13-inch version has now received the firmware upgrade.
