Apple Extends ‘Matching Gift’ Program to Part Time Employees

Apple’s ‘Matching Gift’ program, in which the company matches employees’ charitable donations, has now been expanded to include part time employees as well, MacGeneration reports.

Microsoft operates a similar scheme, but instead of the donation limit being $10,000, as it is with Apple, Microsoft have a $12,000 ceiling. Tim Cook has also promised that Apple employees abroad will be the next to join the scheme.

As of the 11th of November 2011, Apple reported having received $1.3 million in donations, making a donation total of $2.6 million.
