Apple Releases iTunes 10.5.3 With Textbook Syncing Support

Apple has released the latest version of iTunes, 10.5.3, after their education event this morning. The new version will allow you to sync interactive text books to your iPad, and also add the new iTunes U content, as well as new features related to iBooks 2.0.

So, get downloading! The new things that Apple have announced today look awesome, and to take full advantage, you need this new version of iTunes.

What’s new in iTunes 10.5.3

iTunes 10.5.3 allows you to sync interactive iBooks textbooks to your iPad. These Multi-Touch textbooks are available for purchase from the iTunes Store on your Mac or from the iBookstore included with iBooks 2 on your iPad.

iBooks textbooks are created with iBooks Author — now available as a free download on the Mac App Store
