Apple to Celebrate Year of the Dragon with January 6th Shopping Event

Apple will celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a one day shopping event on January 6th, 9to5mac reports. It will take place in China/Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.

Apple is following up on their Lucky Bags promotion which saw special gift bags handed out to Japanese Apple customers this weekend. Traditionally, Apple gives small discounts on products for the Lunar New Year. The actual New Year celebrations begin on January 23rd.
