Apple Translucent 1985 Hard Drive Prototype for Sale on eBay

You won’t see this every day. A possible 1985 Apple hard drive prototype is for sale on eBay. It has a translucent case with an Apple logo, and even though it is not in working condition, it looks like a pretty awesome collector’s item.

The listing description suggests that it could be a prototype as it is neither HD20 nor SCSI.

Unknown Apple NISHA Hard Drive in Clear Case
The Controller Board is Dated 1985
I opened the case to look at the mechanism
This is not an HD20 and not a SCSI
Appears to be a Prototype

We’ll have to wait and see how fierce the bidding gets but at the time of writing it’s only at $81. Who knows what it could be worth.
