Report: Apple to Hold iPad 3 Special Event in Early February

What will Apple’s iPad 3 hold for users of the popular tablet? As it turns out, we may be finding out early next month. Japanese tech blog Macotakara claims (as pointed out by 9to5Mac) that Apple is preparing for an iPad 3 launch event in early February.

The report cites sources within Apple’s U.S. and Asian supply chain, and suggests that Apple’s next-gen iPad is likely to be released in early March, which falls in line with Bloomberg’s recent report that production will be in full swing by February, and approximates the timing of last year’s iPad 2 release.
