Hackers Steal Money From iTunes Accounts, Apple Under Fire for ‘Lack of Concern’

Hackers Steal Money From iTunes Accounts, Apple Under Fire for ‘Lack of Concern’

Many customers are reporting that their iTunes accounts have been hacked, and that their credit cards, PayPal accounts or store credit are being used for unauthorized purchases. A steadily growth of complaints can be seen on Apple’s Support Forum.

While Apple is refunding the stolen funds, The Globe and Mail reports that many customers are becoming increasingly frustrated with Apple’s security issues, and that Apple is not taking the problem as seriously as they should.

Even though Apple is refunding the money, Apple’s customer support is failing to acknowledge that there is a problem, and Apple’s only response to the matter has been “Apple takes precautions to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and misuse.”
