Sources inside Harrods department store in London have disclosed that the Apple “store within a store” in their location is scheduled for a mid March opening, which could suggest that the iPad will go on sale at about that time, 9to5Mac reports.
Even though this is pure speculation and is probably a bit far fetched, it would make sense, as the Apple Store inside Harrods will no doubt be one of the most popular Apple Stores in years to come, so the opening would have to be a pretty big deal.
The world famous department store sees about 300,000 visitors a day when it’s busy and attracts huge numbers of tourists, so there is no doubt that it is an ideal spot for Apple to set up a mini store.
