Mercedes-Benz A-Class Vehicles to Integrate With iPhone 4S and Siri

Mercedes-Benz has announced that their new A-Class vehicles will feature deep media center integration with the iPhone 4S and Siri, reports Autoblog (via iMore), marking the very first time that Siri has been integrated directly with a vehicle.

…Mercedes-Benz will enable access to the voice-based intelligent companion Siri™ in the vehicle. This allows natural speech input, without the need for specific commands, to send messages, select music tracks and check the weather forecast or stock prices, as well as to make appointments. All the iPhone® integration functions can be used even with the entry-level Audio 20 system.

The ability to use Siri from behind the wheel is a fantastic feature, and coupled with deeper integration of all of the iPhone’s functions, will create a fantastic experience for any iPhone owner that drives one of Mercedes’ new upcoming vehicles.

The new system will launch first in Europe, and will be announced and demoed at the Geneva Motor Show set to take place next month.
