Apple: Over Three Million New iPads Sold Since Launch

Apple has announced the sales numbers from the first 4 days of new iPad sales, revealing that over 3 million new iPads have been sold since the device launched on March 16th, marking Apple’s biggest iPad launch to date.

“The new iPad is a blockbuster with three million sold―the strongest iPad launch yet,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Customers are loving the incredible new features of iPad, including the stunning Retina display, and we can’t wait to get it into the hands of even more customers around the world this Friday.”

For reference, that’s over three times as many iPads as the company sold during last year’s iPad 2 launch. Pretty impressive!
