AT&T: New iPad Set All-Time Single-Day Record for Sales and Activations

AT&T released a statement this morning stating that the new iPad set an all-time high for single-day iPad activations and sales, although they didn’t provide any specific numbers.

On Friday, March 16, AT&T set a new single-day record for its iPad sales and activations, demonstrating robust demand for the new iPad on the nation’s largest 4G network, covering nearly 250 million people.

The announcement follows a statement from Apple during their conference call this morning, in which they announced a dividend and stock buyback program for investors, stating that the new iPad marked a “record weekend” for the company.
