Back to the iFuture: Unboxing the 1984 Macintosh 128K (Photos)

Apple’s first ever Macintosh marked a new era of personal computing when it was released in 1984. And due to its $3500 price tag, and the fact that computers were anything but mainstream at the time, not many people ever got the chance to own this masterpiece of a computer.

One eBay seller, however, has a vintage Macintosh 128k up for auction, and decided that it would be a great idea to post a full set of unboxing pics to attract more attention to the listing (first noted by CultofMac). Well, it’s working. And as a side effect of his eBay listing, we can all have a chance to see what an unboxing of the original Mac would have looked like.

And this is the holy grail of vintage Mac unboxings, complete with all of the original accessories, manuals, and even the original styrofoam lining! We’ve placed a few of our favorite pictures from his unboxing set in his post, but if you’de like to see them all (there are a LOT!), give the seller some credit and check out his listing!
