New iPad Gets Benchmarked, Reveals 1GHz Processor and 1GB of RAM

Besides posting the first video unboxing of the new iPad, Vietnamese website Tinhte.vn has also benchmarked the new iPad using Geekbench for iOS ($0.99, App Store link), revealing a 1GHz processor and a full gig of RAM, as well as a Geekbench score of 756.

The ram is doubled from the iPad 2’s 512MB, although the processor speed remains the same, laying to rest speculation that the device might have featured a minor speed bump. The real power of the iPad is in the graphics any way, which did see a dramatic boost.
