New iPad Takes On HK53 Assault Rifle, Holds Up Surprisingly Well (Video)

It happens practically every time Apple releases a new product – someone decides to drop it off a building, shoot it with a gun, or subject it to any manner of other torture tests. This time around, some crazy hoodlum decided to shoot up the new iPad with an HK53 assault rifle (via Gizmodo).

Despite the fact that the device was utterly obliterated, it actually held up fairly well – no explosions, no flying shards of glass – just nice clean holes that go all the way through the device, and the new iPad held onto its structure up until the bitter end!

In the end, though, the new iPad was still completely destroyed – but hey , shooting expensive objects is justt what it takes to get some people out of bed in the morning!
