A Swedish security company, who specialise in police and military operations, have shown how easy it is to bypass the iPhone’s passcode as well as obtain valuable data from the device, Forbes reports. Micro Systemation use a piece of their own software called XRY to hack into the iPhone and steal the data. Here’s how it’s done:
This is pretty scary, but more importantly it reveals how a lot of the police and military go about getting data off your phone. It’s a reminder that you shouldn’t take anything for granted, especially when all that’s protecting your data is an easily hackable passcode.
