Brazil Names ‘Steve Jobs Avenue’ in Honor of Apple Co-Founder

The Brazilian city of Jundiai (located near Foxconn’s new Brazilian iPhone and iPad factory) has confirmed that they have named ‘Steve Jobs Avenue’ in tribute of the late Apple co-founder. The avenue was announced the day after Jobs passed away, and was confirmed yesterday by city officials.

MacMagazine.com.br reported the news (via iDownloadBlog), along with official documents signed by Mayor Michael Haddud. It’s perhaps especially appropriate considering Steve Jobs’ effort to bring a Foxconn facility to Brazil, providing thousands of jobs for the people there.
