Apple ‘A6’ Chip to Feature Quad-Core Cortex A15 Processor?

AMD had published the specs of a quad-core 2Ghz Cortex A15 chip using TSMC’s 28nm technology, French site MacBidouille reports. This architecture could form the basis of Apple’s rumored A6 chip. This would be a considerable improvement over the Cortex A9 chip, which only features two cores.

I’m not a  processor specialist by any means; nevertheless, the above architecture layout looks pretty impressive, and if the iPad and iPhone can incorporate an A6 chip using something similar, iPad and iPhone speeds could be drastically increased, especially for keen gamers and content creators.
