‘Littlest Black Book’ for iPod nano – the April Fool’s Prank That Wasn’t

Pad & Quill, makers of fine book-bound cases for electronic devices, announced a new product yesterday as an April Fool’s prank – the Littlest Black Book – a sexy leather-bound case for the iPod nano. What started out as a prank, however,  is quickly becoming real as interested buyers contribute to Kickstarter to make the product a reality.

Crafted with similar, but not exactly the same, techniques that we use to create all of our other hand made cases. The Littlest Black Book is world’s first bookbindery case for the iPod nano. Innovation from Pad and Quill where we continue to make the case for books!

Features:

  • Tini-Tiny wood frame holds the Nano in perfect tension
  • Provides protection and theft deterrence, bad guys will only think its a tiny book!
  • Access to all ports (except the clip)
  • Hand made in Minneapolis
  • Includes Faux bookmark
  • Optional Micro Book Plate!

It’s easy to see the appeal – even though the iPod nano is extremely small and would see limited benefit from a leather case, the appeal of sexy handcrafted leather goods has such a strong pull! You can secure a Littlest Black Book of your own for just $35 through Kickstarter if the project gets funded – and it’s already over 25% of the way there after less than 24 hours!

Head on over to Kickstarter for more info or to make a pledge.

*Update: As of April 16, 2012, the Little Black Book has met it’s funding goal! Yup – the sexiest leather iPod nano case you’ve ever seen is now a reality! You can still pledge on KickStarter to snag one of your own – but only if you do so before the campaign ends!
