Tim Cook Announced As Opening Speaker For All Things D Conference

Kara Swisher has announced that Tim Cook will be the opening speaker at this year’s D10 conference on May 29th. This will be his first appearance on stage at such an event since his appointment as CEO in August.

Swisher said that she ‘could not be more thrilled’ that he will be the opening speaker at a conference which saw Steve Jobs give a famous interview to both Swisher and Mossberg in 2010.

Walt Mossberg and I could not be more thrilled to announce that Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, will be the opening-night speaker at our 10th D: All Things Digital conference.

So we are looking forward to hearing Cook’s perspective on where the industry and Apple is going, and perhaps to get a glimpse into what makes its new leader — who is also a longtime Apple vet — tick.

Cook will join a speaker list filled with majoy players in tech, including Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz and New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.
