OS X Mountain Lion to Feature iOS-Like Automatic Downloads

The latest build of OS X Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3 appears to include an option for automatic app downloads, reports Mike Beasley of 9to5Mac, allowing you to make a purchase on one Mac and have the app automatically download to all of your other Macs tied to the same App Store account.

The feature isn’t fully functional in the latest Mountain Lion preview, however, suggesting that Apple is still working on completing the feature. It’s unknown whether Apple will keep the feature, although it does make sense.

While the feature would be of limited use to many Mac users, those with multiple Macs may find the feature useful.
