Siri The Scientist: British Telecom Reveals Her Love For Experiments

We know Siri loves many things, but what about scientific experiments? She does apparently, as a team of researchers from British Telecom, BioTeam and Accelyrs have hooked her up to some scientific data analysis software with some impressive results, Gizmodo reports.

Siri managed to crunch some serious numbers, as well as run the experiment and display the results afterwards. That’s pretty unbelievable for a humble personal assistant, and if Siri can be made to do that, there is lots of hope for the future of medicine!

Not only does this show what Siri can do, it also shows the power of cloud computing, which is a way more flexible platform and is much easier to store results on that hundreds of hard drives. With the ever increasing demand for storage, using huge data centres could be a great solution for research labs and other scientific companies.
