Untethered iOS 5.1.1 Jailbreak Coming This Week, Will Support All iOS Devices

The long-anticipated untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak is expected to be released within the coming days, as iOS hacker pod2g revealed on Twitter. The jailbreak will reportedly work on all iOS devices, including the new iPad, although it will not work on the latest Apple TV.

As noted by iDownloadBlog, the jailbreak will likely be called Absinthe 2.0, and will be released by the Chronic Dev Team. Like the first version of Absinthe, which was the first public exploit for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, the tool should also be very simple to use.

We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear more about the official release. In the meantime, keep an eye on pod2g’s blog for the latest information.
