Apple Kills Off 17-inch MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro got a lot of love yesterday at WWDC, with Apple launching revised “traditional” MacBook Pros, as well as impressive new thinner & lighter Retina display equipped models. One model of the MacBook Pro, however, is feeling a little left out.

The 17-inch MacBook Pro, which has been available from practically the beginning of the MacBook Pro line, was completely absent from Apple’s announcements. And beyond being neglected, the 17-inch MacBook Pro was also removed from Apple’s online store. Murdered. Buried in the rain.

For those of you that still want to get you hands on one, rush on over to the refurbished section of the Apple Online Store – as of this moment, there are still some units available at a pretty decent discount.

Farewell, 17-inch MacBook Pro – we hardly knew ye!
