Apple Launches 2012 ‘Back to School’ Promo

Apple launched their annual Back to School promotion this week, offering students and other education customers a free $100 iTunes Store gift card when purchasing a new Mac. Apple has also included the iPad in their promo this year for the first time, offering a $50 iTunes Store gift card with a new iPad purchase.

As with previous years, the Mac Mini is excluded from the promo, which is especially interesting considering that the iPad starts at a full $100 under the price of a Mac Mini. In order to be eligible, the customer must purchase a new iPad or MacBook between now and September 21st.

Those eligible for the promotion include currently active college students, parents purchasing for a college student, and faculty and staff of any educational institution. For more information, visit Apple’s Back to School Promotion website.
