Apple Updates Airport Utility to Add Support for New Airport Express

The Mac Observer reports that Apple has released Airport Utility 6.1 on Monday to add support for their just updated Airport Express. The new version also adds support for managing IPv6 settings.

The new Airport Express Base Station has had dual-band 802.11n support added, also has dual Ethernet ports, and the case has been redesigned to look similar to a white Apple TV.

Apple has also released the Airport Utility 5.6.1 for Mac and Windows, with support for the new Airport Express. The older version of the utility allows users to fall back to the more traditional interface, instead of the graphical interface that some users have expressed dislike for.

The updates are available via the Software Update application, or as downloadable installers at the Apple Support website.
