Parallels Desktop 7 Updated for Retina MacBook Pro

Popular “Windows on Mac” virtual machine software Parallels Desktop 7 just got a nice update today, adding high resolution graphics and support for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display. Parallels Mobile was also updated, adding Retina support for the 3rd-gen iPad.

Parallels announced the updates today on their blog, which are intended to improve the viewing experience when using Windows software and higher resolutions. The apps also both contain minor patches and bug fixes in addition to the new Retina-ready graphics.

Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac is available online directly from Parallels for $79 ($49 for an upgrade), and is also available as part of StackSocial’s new iStack Mac Bundle, packaged alongside over $900 worth of other Mac apps and tools. Parallels Mobile is also available now for $5 in the App Store. For more information, visit Parallels on the web!
