Sparrow for Mac Updated With Retina Display Support and Mountain Lion Compatibility

Sparrow for Mac, one of the most popular alternative to OS X Mail, has just been updated with high-res graphics for the new Retina MacBook Pro and full OS X Mountain Lion support, as well as some interface tweaks and bug fixes – including better compatibility with Growl 1.3.

The update is available now for direct download from the Sparrow website. The update is not yet available on the Mac App Store, but is expected to appear shortly. Sparrow for Mac is available for $9.99 from either the developer website or the Mac App Store. The full change log can be found below (via The Verge).

Update: Sparrow for Mac 1.6.2 is now available on the Mac App Store, 10 days after appearing on the developer’s website.
