Former Apple Ad Man Ken Segall Gives Fascinating TIME Interview About Steve Jobs And More

Credited with putting the ‘i’ in iMac and all of Apple’s other products, it’s fair to say that Ken Segall is an important man in Apple’s history. As such, the interview he gave to TIME magazine at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA was bound to be interesting and he discussed a number of topics ranging from Steve Jobs to design ethos and simplicity, Apple Insider reports.

The interview also gives us an insider’s perspective on the legendary ‘Crazy Ones’ ad, with Segall critical of Apple’s latest series of ‘Genius’ adverts, branding them as something Best Buy or Dell would do.

Some of the Jobs related stories Segall recalls are amusing and classic Steve Jobs, like the phone call where Jobs berated Segall for showing an ad where the Mac keyboard was the wrong color blue. It’s a long interview but it’s worth watching at least some of it, as it’s a great insight into both Jobs and Apple.
