How The ‘iPad mini’ Would Compare to its 10-inch Older Brother (Pics)

It’s a fairly safe bet that Apple will release a smaller version of the iPad at some point. A number of credible sources (such as BloombergThe New York Times,The Wall Street Journaland analyst Ming-Chi Kuo) have all reported on Apple’s plans for such a device – and the recently revealed fact that Steve Jobs wasn’t against the idea removes one of the main arguments against Apple releasing a smaller iPad.

The most common rumor claims that Apple is in fact planning a 7.85-inch version of the iPad this fall – but how would such a device actually compare visually and physically with its larger brother? Gizmodo teamed up with Nickolay Lamm to help us get a better idea, as pictured above.
