One of the major aspects of iOS 6 that Apple discussed at WWDC in June was a new app in iOS 6 called Passbook. Mobile app service company iOptimal decided to use a prototyping tool they created to give us a first-hand demo of how the app is likely to work once Apple launches it!
As AppleInsider notes, it’s important to keep in mind that the demo is running in an iOS simulator rather than an actual device, but the “Passbook App Prototyper” does actually interface with Passbook to feed data into the app, so it should provide a good idea of what to expect.
The video focuses on how Passbook can be used to find and redeem coupons, although it’s expected to support other features, such as storing airline tickets, reward and gift cards, and more as well. The video was created in order to show the capabilities of the company’s app-building software.
