Apple’s Devices Account for 65% of Mobile Web Traffic

Apple’s devices currently account for over half of all mobile web traffic in the U.S. and Canada, according to a report by Chitika. Apple’s share of web traffic in August of 2012 grew from 63.75% to 65.03%. Samsung trails far behind in second with a 12.47% share.

So much blue!

Cult of Mac:

“With the iPhone and iPad, Apple dominates the mobile market when it comes to web usage,” reports Chitika. “The company had another stellar month, and now its devices generate over 65% of all mobile traffic.”

Google and Samsung are showing growth in mobile traffic, but Apple is the clear leader right now. It will be interesting to see the numbers after the release of the iPhone 5 and the much-rumored iPad mini. One would think that the numbers have nowhere to go but up!
