Apple’s Yerba Buena Event Banners Made From Stretched iOS Icons, Could Hint at Taller iPhone

Apple has finished dressing up the Yerba Buena center for Wednesday’s media event – but as an eagle eyed MacRumors reader pointed out, the banner is much more revealing than it seems at first glance. In fact, it appears to be made from stretched-out iOS icons (image below via MacStories)!

As it turns out, if you shrink the banner down to a fraction of its original height, you can fairly clearly make out several of Apple’s iOS icons, which have been stretched out to form the colorful background on the banner. The icons include Game Center, iTunes, Music and the App Store.

So, what does this mean? One seemingly obvious explanation is that it means Apple will indeed include a taller “stretched” screen on the new iPhone. Of course, it’s all up to interpretation at this point.

We’ll find out what’s happening for sure in a few days – but the evidence for a taller iPhone is pretty compelling! Make sure to tune in on Wednesday for the latest about Apple’s announcements!
