Sue Hard: Bruce Willis Considers Taking Apple To Court Over Rights To His Music Collection

Normally known for hostage situations, fighting crazy terrorists and explosions, Bruce Willis also loves his music. So when he discovered that under iTunes terms and conditions you’re only actually borrowing the music you download, you can imagine how he felt, The Sun UK reports.

Willis wants to be able to pass down his collection to his daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, and has asked advisers to set up a trust to hold his downloads which include The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

Apple reserves the right to freeze accounts if they suspect anything untoward, but who knows if they’ll make an exception for Willis who could quite easily tarnish its reputation.

This has once again brought up the issue of who owns what in terms of digital content Apple sells you. You are only licensed music, Mac OS X and any other digital content from Apple, so you don’t actually own it, but you rent it for life, if you want to think of it that way.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top, but it’s definitely going to be one of the most intriguing battles Willis has been in.
