iCloud.com Still Uses Google Maps

If you’re worried about how iCloud services like Find My [insert Apple device here] will work, then worry not, at least if you’re using it in your browser. A picture published on Imgur (via Cult of Mac) clearly shows that the maps are still powered by Google when accessed via iCloud.com, which makes you wonder exactly why Apple hasn’t done anything about it.

The Maps in the Fin Your iPhone app have been updated to Apple’s, but if you still want to use Google’s service, then accessing it via a browser would be your best bet.

It will be interesting to see if this is something Apple forgot about or if it has kept using Google for a purpose, but it’s definitely handy if you can’t stand the new Maps app in iOS 6.
