iPhones 5 Expected to See Up to 10 Million Sales in its First Week!

With Apple expected to reveal their new iPhone on September 12 (next Wednesday!), analysts are hard at work predicting how many of the devices Apple is likely to sell. The new iPhone will almost certainly be Apple’s biggest launch yet. It will be absolutely huge – but how do you quantify that?

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is among the first analysts to speak out, projecting that Apple could sell up to 10 million iPhone 5s in the first week alone! Macworld reports:

There is so much pent up demand for the iPhone 5 that Munster believes Apple could sell between 6 million and 10 million new iPhones in the final week of September. It is expected that the phone will go on sale on Friday 21 September. Apple yesterday invited press to a launch event for what appears to be the new iPhone. That event is scheduled for Wednesday 12 September.

The iPhone 5 is said to be the most anticipated smartphone of all time (and perhaps the most anticipated electronic item of all time as well), and Apple still has tons of room to grow their user base, especially in China. As successful as the iPhone is now, I’ve got a feeling we haven’t seen anything yet…
