Passbook-Enabled App Listing Appears on iOS App Store

Alongside the official release of Passbook today as part of their new iOS 6 update, Apple has now added a new listing page to the App Store highlighting apps compatible with their new service.

There aren’t many Passbook-enabled apps available at the moment, but there are a couple of interesting ones, such as the Fandango movie app, Ticketmaster, and the official Major League Baseball app. The section can be accessed by launching Passbook, and then tapping the App Store button at the bottom of the app.

Passbook should start really heating upp as developers begin to build support into their apps. It will be interesting to see how many apps support the service a month from now! As we pointed out in our Passbook feature post, AppShopper is also keeping a running list of Passbook-enabled apps.
