Samsung Targets the iPhone 5 in Fiery New Attack Ad

Samsung, always fast in their response to Apple’s latest products, began publishing their first attach ad in newspapers over the weekend, comparing their Galaxy S III smartphone to the iPhone 5.

Business Insider reports:

Samsung just sent me an ad that it plans to run in national newspapers […] comparing the iPhone 5 to the Galaxy S III.

The ad breaks down some key specs of the two phones, but it’s also a bit misleading. Samsung lists a lot of Galaxy S III-specific software features like sharing photos wirelessly between phones and tilt to zoom, but doesn’t mention any iPhone 5-specific features.

As Business Insider notes, the ad is quite disingenuous to Apple, to say the least – Samsung lists features of Android and their custom shell for Google’s platform, but leaves out any of the software features of iOS 6.
