Apple Releases RAW Compatibility Update for New Sony, Nikon, and Canon Cameras

Apple released a new Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update (4.01) for users of Aperture 3 and iPhoto 11, adding support for a number of cameras  from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Sony.

About Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.01

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11:

  • Canon EOS M
  • Canon PowerShot G15
  • Canon PowerShot S110
  • Canon PowerShot SX50 HS
  • Nikon D600
  • Nikon 1 J2
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ200
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G5
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX7
  • Sony Alpha NEX-F3
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100

The update requires OS X 10.7.5 or higher, or OS X 10.8.2, and is available immediately through Software Update, as well as direct download from Apple.
