Estimated Price for 13-in MacBook Pro With Retina Display: $1699

In addition to announcing a smaller iPad, new Mac minis, and iMac, Apple is expected to reveal a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display on October 23. What will it cost you to get some 13-inch Retina Display goodness?

9to5Mac:

We’ve now received pricing information on the base model and the “best” model.  Based on wholesale prices we’ve received, we believe the entry model 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro will cost roughly $1699 at launch while the higher spec model will cost $300 more making the $2000 price point likely.

Currently, the base MacBook Pro with Retina Display retails for $2199 USD. A 13-inch model would provide a lower priced entry point for those who prefer a smaller form factor device.

The 13-in Retina MacBook Pro is expected to be available shortly after the its introduction, but there will probably be the usual supply constraints we see after introductions such as this.

The new model is expected to boast a 2560X1600 pixel display, which is the same as the old 30-inch Cinema Display. No other confirmed specs yet, but information continues to trickle in.

Of course, nothing is official until Apple announces it – so stay alert and cautious until next Tuesday when we’ll find out for sure!
