Software Update Already Out For iPod nano

You might have thought that seeing as the new iPod nano has just been released, it wouldn’t need any software updates, but you’d be wrong. In order to use your device, you’ll need to install update 1.0.1 when you plug it in in order to use it with the current version of iTunes, iLounge reports.

The update says it adds ‘support for iPod nano (7th generation)’, even though Apple normally does it the other way round: updating iTunes to work with the newer iPods, not updating the newer iPods to work with the older iTunes.

Nevertheless, it’s not a huge deal, even though it will take that extra bit longer to get your new nano set up.
