Apple Working to Bring Siri Support to 9 Additional Languages

While Siri can certainly be a useful tool for a variety of purposes, it doesn’t offer the best support for languages other than English, or results in countries other than the U.S. According to a new job posting on Apple’s employment site, however (via 9to5Mac), Apple is planning to bring  support for at least 9 additional languages to the service.

To bring the expanded language support, Apple is seeking a number of new multi-lingual interns, fluent in languages such as Dutch, French, Chinese, and Swedish. In the case of some languages, such as Chinese (Siri already has some Chinese language support), Apple may be looking to expand support for additional dialects.

It’s good to see that Apple is still actively working on improving Siri, especially in regards to their international customers. It’s unclear when the added language support will roll out – but it’ll likely be at least a few months down the road.
