Autodesk FormIt Hits The App Store

I love Autodesk. All their apps are top quality, and it seems it’s onto another winner with FormIt, released today in the App Store.

In essence, FormIt allows you to plan how buildings would look in a specific location. You can import your own satellite images from Maps, and create all sorts of cool shaped buildings to get an idea of what your project would look like.

Of course, this is intended more for hard core architects, but considering it’s free, it’s definitely worth a try.

Once you’ve completed a design, you can then share it via the Autodesk 360 cloud service, or transfer it to a desktop application.

If you’re into Autodesk products, it’s a must download, but otherwise I think it’s awesome that it’s totally free with no in app purchases, so go and download it anyway.
