Bill Nye The Science Guy Needs Your Help Funding An Aerodyamics App For Kids

I have fond memories of watching Bill Nye The Science Guy in my 6th grade science class. However now he needs your help funding an aerodynamics app for kids on Kickstarter (via Cult of Mac), explaining complex physics principles using a bird you can fly around the world with.

AERO 3D, as the app is called, definitely seems awesome for kids interested in science, and with the legendary Bill Nye behind it, what could possibly go wrong?

He’s partnered with GameDesk on the project, and with a fundraising aim of $100,oo0, it’s going to be challenging target to hit. However 492 backers have already pledged $7,000 as of writing, so hopefully the target will be easily reached.

You can fund the project on Kickstarter here.

Full list of features:

  • FULL EXPLORATORY WORLD with multiple islands and caves to explore. Land on, take-off from, and explore every island.
  • 15+ CHALLENGES: flight-based and aerodynamic-learning challenge rings.
  • AERODYNAMIC FLIGHT LESSONS: Five fully developed interactive aerodynamic lessons teaching lift, drag, thrust, constant and terminal velocity, gravity, banking, turning and more.
  • A full soundtrack!
