Make A Hurricane Sandy Donation Via The US App Store

Hurricane Sandy destroyed lives, houses and even entire towns when it hit the East Coast of the US over the past week. So to help with the relief effort, Apple has opened up Red Cross donations via the US App Store to help those affected, iMore reports.

It makes it easier than ever to donate, with amounts ranging from $5 to 200$, and you can do it with one tap. Simply go to the featured tab of the App Store on an iOS device and you should see the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Section.

Just like buying a song, the money will be debited from your card, or gift card if you have credit on your account. You can also donate through iTunes on the desktop by visiting the special Donation page Apple has set up.

Of course, iTunes transfers 100% of your donation to the Red Cross, so you know exactly where it’s going.
