After more than a month of teasing, Rovio has finally unleashed their latest Angry Birds game to the App Store, and this time around, it comes with a taste of The Force! Angry Birds Star Wars is an official tie-in to the movies, features exciting new gameplay elements, including lightsabers, blasters, and The Force, and mashups between Star Wars characters and your favorite angry Avian friends.

Join an epic adventure with the Angry Birds in the legendary Star Wars™ universe! Use the Force, wield your lightsaber, and blast away Pigtroopers on an intergalactic journey from the deserts of Tatooine to the depths of the Pig Star — where you’ll face off against the terrifying Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Pigs! Can you become a Jedi Master and restore freedom to the galaxy?
The game is great – I’ve been playing it a bit this morning, and it really does feel like a new game rather than just another Angry Birds extension. Check out the official trailer to see what you’re in store for!
