Ship Times for New 27-Inch iMac Already Slide to 3-4 Weeks

A mere few hours after Apple began taking orders for their new iMacs this morning, estimates shipping tomes for 27-inch models from the Apple Online Store have already slipped from 3-4 weeks, making it unlikely for anyone who orders from this point onward to receive the 27-inch iMac before Christmas.

It’s hardly surprising news, however. During the company’s quarterly finance call, Tim Cook himself admitted that supplies for the new iMacs would be constrained. Still, it’s a bit of a disappointment for those who hoped to order one in time for the holidays.

The 21.5-inch model, meanwhile, is still shipping within 2-3 days.
