1Password 4 for iOS Hits the App Store

Popular password management app 1Password has received a huge update with the launch of 1Password 4.0 for iOS. The update brings a number of welcome additions and improvements, including a revamped interface, iCloud sync support, a built-in web browser, a new Favorites option for frequently-used logins, the addition of folders for organizing your entries, and more.

From the developer, AgileBits:

What’s the big deal about the fourth edition of 1Password for iOS? In short, everything.

We spent more than a year thinking, designing, dreaming, drafting, listening, testing, and ultimately building. The new 1Password for iOS marks a new era for the most incredible password and identity manager for the iPhone and iPad which, in the words of Rene Ritchie at iMore, has been “redone from pixel to bit.”

Aside from the many new and improved features, 1Password 4 also keeps the functionality of the previous version, including random secure password generation (which can now auto-copy new passwords to the clipboard!), syncing between Macs and iOS devices, and more. I’ve been using the new version, and I absolutely LOVE it!

1Password 4 is available now from the App Store for a special promotional launch price of $7.99 (regular price will be $17.99), and is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Users of previous versions will have to pay for the new version, as it has been released as a new app rather than an update – but I would point out that I definitely feel it’s worth paying developers for great app so they can continue making improvements! $7.99 is really a small price to pay for such an indispensable tool.
